Four Techarena side events over two years, covered on the night.
The Challenge.
Task.
Business Sweden is the Swedish trade and invest council, owned by the Swedish state and Swedish industry. Part of its job is to bring international founders, investors and companies to Sweden. Techarena is Scandinavia’s biggest tech event, held each year at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, and Business Sweden is one of its partners. In the months before each edition the two run a series of smaller investor events on both sides of Øresund.
Two years running that meant an evening at the residence of the Swedish ambassador in Copenhagen in late summer, and a lunch in Malmö a few weeks later during The Drop. DROBE was asked to cover them: photos the hosts and their partners could use the same week, and a short film built on three interviews from the room, so the invitation to the next event carried proof of the last one. The same recipe, both years.
By the numbers.
What we did.
A small job, done the same way four times.
1. On the night
One content producer, Markus Jul, with a stills camera and a film camera, at the residence from half past five so the interview spots were picked before the guests arrived. Photos of the room, the conversations and the hosts, edited and graded the same evening or the next morning, and sent as a link the host could forward to Business Sweden and the embassy.
2. The film
Three short interviews on a lapel mic, with the party going on behind, then cut with the atmosphere footage to 40 to 60 seconds. The host asked the questions, since she knew the guests and what Business Sweden wanted said. Each film went out in a horizontal cut for LinkedIn and the web and a vertical cut for stories, subtitled, on a track the host picked from a shortlist of seven.
3. Year two
A year on, Techarena asked for the same again. We checked whether the branding had changed, the host picked the music, and the first cut of the residence film was with her within a week of the event, the vertical the week after. In Malmö the photos were sent the same evening.

Results.
Four events covered, the photos out the same evening or the next morning, and a host who booked the second season on the strength of the first. Whether the films moved Business Sweden’s own numbers we cannot see from here, so we do not claim it.
The events, in public.
Newest first. The event pages and the hosts’ own posts.
